LED conversion and what actually changes
LED conversion is one of the more common calls Schmidt Electrical Contracting gets from commercial customers, and most of the work is in the fixtures rather than the wiring behind them. Older fluorescent and incandescent fixtures come out, LED fixtures and retrofit kits go in, and the building keeps the wiring runs it already has wherever that wiring is still sound.
Once the conversion is done, the fixtures still need someone watching them. Office lighting maintenance is offered as its own ongoing line of work rather than a one time visit, so a business that converts to LED has somewhere to call when a fixture starts to flicker or fail, instead of starting the search for an electrician over again from scratch.
